OVERVIEW: An annual nationwide event where the government, schools, communities and NGOs were mobilized to plant trees. The 2024 edition was launched on June 1st in Ebolowa under the theme “Tree, symbol of resilience and preservation of ecosystems for a Cameroon without deforestation”.
This event was characterized with a large-scale planting of native species to restore degraded lands, create community forests and bolster carbon sinks. Under the distinguished guest and supervision of Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection (MINEPDED), the activity brought together stakeholders and NGOs for the purpose of protecting the environment.
