MOCAHO Kenya participating at the Africa sustainability challenge at Strathmore University Kenya
The 2026 Innovate4Cities Conference, held at the United Nations Headquarters in Nairobi, brought together researchers, policymakers, city leaders, youth, civil society, and development partners to explore practical solutions for climate resilience and sustainable development. The conference focused on strengthening the connection between evidence, innovation, and implementation to accelerate climate action and build more resilient communities.
The event was co-hosted by the UN-Habitat and the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy, bringing together global expertise on climate science, governance, finance, digital innovation, and equitable development.
Key partners and sponsors included the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, alongside a range of collaborative, knowledge, and engagement partners supporting urban climate research and action.
As participants and on behalf of our organization - MOTHER CARE 4 HOPE OUTREACH (MOCAHO), the Kenya delegation was led by me as the National Coordinator. We were inspired by the powerful conversations on multilevel governance, climate education, research, youth engagement, and innovation. The conference reaffirmed that meaningful climate action requires collaboration across sectors and generations. Together, MOCAHO and the World can transform knowledge into impact and create a more sustainable and resilient future for all.
